What are we doing with $52,000 win?

At a live crowd event in February Alithia raised over $50,000 to run programs on the Mid North Coast for 2021. The Funding Network selected three lucky charities to pitch (online due to Covid restrictions). Our area is so grateful to have this opportunity and support! You can view the 5min pitch at the bottom of the page. Here are some of the programs Alithia is running in 2021, thanks to the generous individuals that donated through TFN.

This program facilitates nature inspired sensory learning and engagement for young children and incorporates natural movement to aid physical and mental health. The aim is to create a sense of wonder and nurturing relationships within nature, promote and allow for free exploration and expression to learn who one is in this world, encourage sensory engagement through natural materials, and facilitate learning deep ecology of the local area. The program supports cultural inclusion and learning, earth skills, plant knowledge, and a variety of workshops that assist with re-membering ourselves to nature.

This program is about building social skills and tools for emotional regulation and positive communication in a supportive, fun environment. In this nurturing space children develop confidence and a positive self-image. Children are offered a range of activities to develop balance and coordination, healthy neurological pathways, motor skills, artistic expression and knowledge building blocks. The mentor uses a variety of communication tools to assist children through conflict resolution processes, stress release and to articulate emotions, ensuring children can build and maintain healthy relationships.

Enrolment for Term 2 -4 is now open online: http://alithialearning.org.au/programs/

Please email if you are facing financial hardship and require a scholarship: info@alithialearning.org.au

We would like to thank all those who support the hub, so that we can continue making a difference in our rural low socio-economic area. Especially those that joined the live crowd-funding event held by TFN (The Funding Network).
