Online Hubs (Innovators and Holistic)
The Innovators Hub is about creating, researching and developing ideas together as a community, while the Holistic Hub is about an individual's positive mental health and well-being. This is an overview of the first 5 weeks of Alithia's two online hubs. Both are free and both require an online journal board, and an optional online meeting session.
The Innovators Hub kicked off with the challenge:

A participant at home decided to do a brainstorming session around this challenge, using the tools taught in the hub, and shared this on her journal board:

This brainstorm led to the development and refinement of the challenge:

A participant at home brainstormed what her eco-friendly city/ country would be like and realised for her, it was about creating laws / policies.

These laws inspired a response from the mentor:

One participant did research to help innovate ideas for their city and watched this video below. While discussing with the family what they liked about this idea (see comment below), it led to the development: "How to speak with Australia's first people to ask them how they would design an eco-friendly city / country?"

Another participant had brainstormed ideas for an eco-friendly country and talked about burning-off the forest to protect it, using indigenous knowledge. This raises the same question as above of: How to draw on indigenous knowledge.

Meanwhile, to expand on the laws for an eco-friendly country, a creative workshop brainstorm with the mentor took place:

During the online workshop, the participants looked at this six-year-olds creative brainstorm of her country and discussed "How to have a country with no money". This led to: "How to develop a money-free country / world based on how indigenous communities operated".

The kids will spend their time during the week researching and developing these ideas, speaking with their cultural leaders and others in the community for more ideas on these topics, and hitting the library. They will continue to share their thoughts and discoveries on their Journal Board and meet again to discuss next week.

The Holistic Hub has themes each week for exploring:

A participant answered by listing things that this question made her think of. And then she headed off to build a cubby, as it was discussed that cubbies can be a "safe place" when needing to take a moment.

Week 3 topic:

Participants answered this question in many ways. Here are two examples: One made a collage of creative outlets, and another made a website about story-writing and shared it at the online meeting, inviting others to add their creative stories.

Week 4: This meeting session was very powerful with a profound positive impact on participants. The challenge for this week was to hang the drawing they did during the session and every day when they see it, the think of 3 positive things to say about themselves.
